CPCS PLATINUM AWARD
Recognition of our commitment to training over the last 5 years.
CPCS have awarded D Wardle Plant the prestigious Platinum Award in recognition of out commitment to Plant Operator and Service Engineer training over the last 5 years. The Platinum standard is the highest level available and is only awarded to companies where over 90% of staff are trained and competent and hold a trade skills card within the Construction Skills Competency Scheme. The CSCS scheme covers all aspects of Construction Site Health, Safety and Environmental matters in a regular touch screen test for all card holders, as well as evidence based practical training and the on-going upkeep of skills within the Operators Log book.
Investing in the CSCS scheme has greatly increased safety awareness on site as there is a high degree of individual self learning involved in the test revision. In addition, the award process required us to demonstrate an auditable skills database of our entire workforce, which is published directly to our Customers via our Extranet. In that way customers have real-time access to the training records of all employees on their site.
The company’s target is to maintain this high level of compliance over the next 3 years by further investment in new starters and retraining of the existing workforce.
